Former Augustines frontman, singer-songwriter William McCarthy, today reveals his debut solo album Shelter will be released this summer. The album will be performed live on his upcoming second solo tour, titled Music For The People, in the spring of 2017. Dates and tickets for all shows are available from his website.

Time Ain’t Always By My Side is the first song to be released from the album and is available as a free download from McCarthy’s website. The track is a piano driven track that is reminiscent of Augustines’ softer material (think Weary Eyes or Landmine). Listen and download below.

The album has been produced by long-term friend and ex-bandmate Eric Sanderson and features appearances by Augustines drummer Rob Allen, and long-term collaborator Yannis Panos.

McCarthy also invites his fans to support his future projects – a podcast titled “Onward with William McCarthy”, new music and a book – via the crowdfunding website patreon.
