Irish trio Adore signed with Big Scary Monsters and released their new single, ‘Show Me Your Teeth’ today. The track is described as being inspired by prolonged sleep deprivation, recurring nightmares, and the unsettling clarity that can arise from confronting fear.

Despite having only a few singles in their discography, Adore have already garnered significant attention from influential press outlets including The Guardian, So Young Magazine, and DIY Magazine, as well as radio support from BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq and Radio X’s John Kennedy. ‘Show Me Your Teeth’ follows recent support slots with Chalk and Sprints, and precedes Adore’s debut UK headline tour this month.

Of the single, vocalist and guitarist, Lara Minchin, states,

Show Me Your Teeth was written during a period where I had nightmares every night for 5 months. These nightmares often lead to me waking up several times throughout the night, resulting in several nightmares with different, sometimes interwoven storylines. An ambivalence developed towards these nightmares which then translated into waking life.

Adore have firmly established themselves as a promising act within Ireland’s music scene. Since their debut single ‘Postcards’ in June 2023, the band has maintained a rigorous live performance schedule. This included supporting SPRINTS on a UK tour in late 2024, alongside numerous support slots across Ireland with bands such as CHALK, The Scratch, 86TVs, The Bug Club, and Cardinals. Their consistent hard work culminated in a sold-out headline show at Dublin’s Whelan’s (capacity 450) in December 2024, following the autumn releases of their energetic singles ‘Can We Talk’ and the assertive ‘Supermum!’.
