As part of Love Record Stores, Circa Waves have released their socially-distance cover of The La’s classic There She Goes. Listen and watch below.

As far as lockdown covers go, this one is up there and does a pretty good job at honouring the original. Lead singer Kieran Shudalls vocals are absolutely perfect and the video features some impressive drumming on a Coco-Pops box.

Love Record Stores took place on the 20th of June with over 130 participating record stores, and tons of new and reissued vinyl releases for music lovers to purchase. There was also a virtual instore featuring live performances, interviews and readings. With a line-up including many influential industry figures, Circa Waves took to the virtual stage to perform There She Goes.

The band also released a limited edition, orange vinyl of their 2019 album What’s It Like Over There? in support of the campaign which was launched in March to support independent record stores through the current pandemic.

Frontman Kieran Shudall says:

There’s something magical about record stores. Maybe it’s the smell, or the way you always end up buying what they are playing on their stereo. They are the refuge of all music obsessed people like ourselves. It would be cool if you bought our Love Record Stores Event release but more importantly just buy any record you want and love from an independent record shop. They are the blood that runs through our music industry and We MUST support them.
