Emerging electronic duo The Itch (comprised of Simon Tyrie and Georgia Hardy) have unveiled their first new music of 2025 with the double A-side release of ‘The Influencer’ and ‘Co-Conspirator’. This marks the pair’s debut under a collaborative deal with Fiction Records and I OH YOU.
The two tracks function as sonic companions, ingeniously manipulating identical audio stems to create distinct yet related compositions. Utilising the same drum and bass foundations, and warping original vocals into fresh melodic hooks, ‘Co-Conspirator’ acts as a club-oriented remix, a shadowy mutation of ‘The Influencer’s’ core DNA, sharing the same key, BPM, lyrical themes, and underlying audio elements.
Mirroring this theme of reimagined source material, the accompanying visuals for both tracks feature the same venue in contrasting states. The video for ‘The Influencer’ captures dancer Joshua Hubbard’s uninhibited movement within the empty space, while the visualiser for ‘Co-Conspirator’ compiles footage from a club night hosted by The Itch in the very same location the previous week.
This double A-side arrives a year after The Itch’s initial emergence with their seven-minute debut single ‘Ursula’, a track that garnered significant press and radio attention and led to a swift, sold-out headline show before the duo temporarily stepped out of the spotlight. During this period, Tyrie and Hardy were notably engaged in professional poker tournaments before being sought out and signed by Fiction Records and I OH YOU, setting the stage for their intriguing return.
