Following on from the release of their critically acclaimed second album, Fantasies of a Stay At Home Psychopath, earlier this year, The Blinders have revealed ‘Life’s A Beach’, a six part series filmed at Liverpool’s stunning Formby Beach. Part one is available now, and features John McCullagh of Children Of The State. Watch below.

The series is made up of three episodes which are split into halves, featuring a selection of socially distanced performances and intimate, enlightening discussions with special guests including The Goa Express and the iconic Jon Coley.

Lead singer Thomas Haywood and his special guests perform solo and collaborative, discussing music and the ‘new normal’. Speaking about the series Thomas states:

I wanted to play music at the beach with a friend and talk until the sun went down. In turn we ended up projecting a delicate image of the relationships that bands and artists often have with one another…

Life’s A Beach follows on from the band’s new album, Fantasies Of A Stay At Home Psychopath, the follow up to their debut album Columbia released in 2018. The band have also recently played three, stripped back, socially distanced, ‘Lounge Lizard’ shows at The Rose & Monkey Hotel in Manchester.

If all goes well, the band will head on a UK tour in March 2021. Tickets are available here.
