Just in time for their appearance at Reading and Leeds Festival this weekend, Sea Girls have just dropped their brand new single Violet. The track was premiered yesterday night at Annie Mac’s Hottest Record In The World. Listen to Violet below.

Speaking of the new track, singer Henry Camille says:

If our other tracks are the shade, then Violet is definitely the light. There is no tortured soul here, just a boy who avoided the inevitable for years, suddenly realises, and throws himself wholeheartedly to someone who’s made for him. Put your face in a sink of ice cold water and that’s how it makes me feel.

The upbeat track is a love song for the titular character in which Henry howls “Violet / Now my mind is set / On my cigarette / Cause I’m not leaving here without you.”

The four piece have made big waves in the past few months with singles such as All I Want To Hear You Say, Damage Done or Closer receiving well over 4 million streams on Spotify alone. In the live spectrum, the band have also made themselves a name as one of the most exciting live acts coming out of the UK right now.

This weekend will see them play at Reading and Leeds Festival where they will be playing on the BBC 1 Introducing stage alongside The Night Café, Bloxx, Pale Waves and Circa Waves among others. After the festival season, the quartet will embark on a UK headline tour with stops in London, Manchester and Liverpool amongst others. Remaining tickets for the tour are available here.
