Man/Woman/Chainsaw Share New Single, ‘The Boss’, Announce Headline Tour

Following the success of their previous singles, ‘Ode To Clio’ and ‘Grow A Tongue In Time,’ London-based band Man/Woman/Chainsaw are back with another explosive track. Today, they’ve shared ‘The Boss,’ a noisy EP highlight that’s driven by its infectious violin and synth riff. ‘The Boss’ is the third single from their highly anticipated debut EP, ‘Eazy Peazy,’ which is set for release on November 8th on Fat Possum Records.

Of the single, the band states:

The Boss is the heaviest of the songs on the EP and definitely a live favourite of ours. We wanted to express our frustration with imbalanced power dynamics in our everyday lives with a big supermassive rant of a rock song. In the writing process it began as a more standard punk tune until Emmie and Clio spontaneously improvised their interlocking violin/synth line that totally changed the direction of the song.’ The continue, ‘Working in the studio with Dan Fox of Gilla Band was fun and allowed us to experiment with getting the song to sound as spacey as we could get it – we particularly enjoyed recording the electric violin through guitar amps cranked to 10 while simultaneously manipulating a tape delay unit.

Since bursting onto the London music scene at the tender age of 16, Man/Woman/Chainsaw have quickly established themselves as one of the most electrifying and unpredictable young acts in the city. Their three self-released singles, each a riotous blend of joy and chaos, have captivated audiences and critics alike.
