Lucia & the Best Boys are back with their new single, Forever Forget, taken from their new EP, The State Of Things also released today. The release of Forever Forget, follows on from the EP’s previous single, Perfectly Untrue, which received huge amounts of praise from BBC Radio 1 and was featured on many of Spotify’s curated playlists, including New Music Friday.

With Forever Forget, Lucia & the Best Boys completely captivate the listener, it’s a bold, power-balladesque gem reminiscent of the 1980’s, with relatable lyrics about the positives that come from leaving things behind, and moving forward.

Speaking about the track, front woman Lucia Fairfull states

‘Forever Forget was the second song I wrote for The State Of Things, it’s about the painful, constant reminder you have of how things used to be, and the ‘What If’s’’.

The track then goes hand in hand with previous releases Perfectly Untrue and Let Go to provide a fresh, exciting collection of tracks which marks a new dawn for the band. The State Of Things is an atmospheric release which is cinematic throughout. Lucia Fairfull’s bold and passionate vocals are under a spotlight within the EP, channelling those of some of her influences, such as Stevie Nicks, Kate Bush and Miley Cyrus.

Lucia and her best boys will be performing The State Of Things in its entirety for a filmed BBC Radio Scotland this month, and have also been announced as the lead support for Dream Wife’s UK and Europe tour in Spring 2021. Tickets here.
