Fontaines D.C. have announced a stellar lineup of supporting acts for their largest headline show to date at London’s Finsbury Park on Saturday, July 5, 2025. Joining previously announced special guests Amyl and the Sniffers and Kneecap will be NYC-born, LA-based musician Blondshell, New York quintet Been Stellar, and Cork band Cardinals for the already sold-out gig.
Blondshell, the project of singer/songwriter Sabrina Teitelbaum, brings her “angriest, clearest, and most vulnerable” sound to the stage. Influenced by artists ranging from Patti Smith to Elliott Smith and drawing confidence from her queer identity in New York City, Blondshell will perform following the release of her new record ‘If You Asked For A Picture’ on May 2nd.
NYC’s Been Stellar channels the spirit of New York icons like Sonic Youth and Interpol, alongside the brooding cool of Iceage and early Radiohead, creating a sound described as “fearsome, buffeting and beautiful.” Fellow Irish band Cardinals offers an eclectic “gothic amalgam” of shoegaze, pop, Irish trad folk, and rock, incorporating Wall of Sound and punk influences from their acclaimed self-titled debut EP.
This massive Finsbury Park show marks a significant milestone for Fontaines D.C., who have risen from playing to 30 people at The Finsbury pub in 2017 to headlining for 45,000 fans. The band’s raw and captivating live performances have earned them a global fanbase and numerous accolades, including two BRIT Awards, two GRAMMY nominations, and Mercury Prize and Ivor Novello nominations, solidifying their status as one of the most in-demand acts worldwide. The rapidly sold-out Finsbury Park concert underscores their current global popularity.
