Macclesfield born band Cassia have recently relocated to Berlin, where they’ve spent the entirety of the pandemic living together in their house/studio “Casa de Cassia” next to a forest. The boys have spent their time writing like crazy, self-producing and recording their music completely unconpromised. New single Gotta Get Through Til Monday is the first to be revealed from their new Magnifier EP which is due to be released this summer. Listen below.
Gotta Get Through Til Monday follows on from the critically acclaimed Powerlines EP that was released last year. The track is an anthem about pushing through difficult times like we’re experiencing now. Lead singer Rob Ellis explained:
It was written for someone I care about during a time she was really struggling with her confidence and feeling defeated. Seeing someone you care about in a bad place is always tough, and I wrote this to help her realise that it was fixable and she only needed to give herself time.
Cassia have already established themselves as an amazing live act, having headlined The Ritz in Manchester as well as The Scala in London, plus shows across the UK, Europe & the US. They were also in fact nominated for Best Live Act at the AIM Awards and are planning to hit the road again shortly.
