The Last Dinner Party – Second Best
“Second Best” arrives fully formed after years of live testing, now bigger, bolder, and more boisterous than ever. Emily Roberts takes centre stage with fiery, maximalist guitar lines, her talent endorsed by Brian May. Abigail Morris matches her intensity, her voice a captivating mix of Snow White purity and Kate Bush drama, reaching operatic heights without losing rock edge. Layered with a playful punk attitude in both lyrics and delivery, The Last Dinner Party have never sounded cooler. This track sets the tone for their forthcoming album, From The Pyre, with flair and fearless energy. – Em Saunders
Dry Cleaning – Hit My Head All Day
On “Hit My Head All Day,” Dry Cleaning blend playful disco bass from Lewis Maynard with Tom Dowse’s relentless guitar riffing, straddling gritty grunge and ’70s rock in a way that nods to both CBGB energy and David Bowie’s knack for unforgettable, genre-bending hooks. Synth flourishes and basslines hint at Prince’s sly seduction, while Florence Shaw’s singular vocal anchors it all, effortlessly claiming ownership of the band’s genre-hopping explorations. Produced by Cate Le Bon, the track balances polish with texture, marking Dry Cleaning’s most accessible, infectious, and irresistibly kinetic moment yet. – Katie Macbeth
Just Mustard- ENDLESS DEATHLESS
Just Mustard’s upcoming album, WE WERE JUST HERE, melds their signature noise-rock intensity with the euphoric energy of rave culture. “ENDLESS DEATHLESS” exemplifies this fusion, wrapping listeners in a cathartic wall of sound that’s both overwhelming and exhilarating. Katie Ball’s angelic vocals soar over jagged, gothic-tinged instrumentation, recorded at Dundalk’s Black Mountain Studio. The track balances chaos and beauty, marking the band’s evolution while reaffirming their talent for crafting immersive, boundary-pushing sonic landscapes. – Katie Macbeth
Bug Teeth – Thin Circle
Leeds-based Bug Teeth have released their new single, “Thin Circle,” the final preview of their eagerly awaited debut album Micrographia, arriving November 21 via State51. The track highlights the band’s experimental side, fusing IDM, ambient, and electronica with their signature dream-pop sound. Produced by Joel Anthony Patchett (King Krule, The Orielles), “Thin Circle” continues Bug Teeth’s exploration of loss and beauty, transforming grief into hypnotic, serene sonic landscapes that feel both expansive and intimately personal, offering a captivating glimpse of the album to come. – Lauren Moreton
Horse Jumper of Love – Mansion
Horse Jumper of Love’s Disaster Trick, released last year, won acclaim from fans and critics alike. To celebrate its anniversary, the band is issuing Disaster Trick Deluxe Edition on October 24 via Run For Cover Records/Civilians, featuring demos, B-sides, alternate takes, and more. Leading the reissue, they’ve shared “Mansion,” an unreleased track from the original sessions. The song blends the band’s hallmark expansive songwriting with dreamlike textures and jagged, dissonant guitar work, reaffirming their skill at crafting introspective, immersive indie rock that lingers long after the final note. – Ollie Thomas
