Los Angeles singer and guitarist Will Paquin has announced his self-released debut album, ‘Hahaha,’ a guitar-forward, psych-laced garage-rock offering due out on September 12th. The album’s title perfectly encapsulates its essence: a high-voltage blend of creative chaos infused with a refreshing dose of humour—a quality often overlooked in rock music.

Alongside the album announcement, Paquin has unveiled the lead single, “I Work So Hard.” This track, which he began writing in middle school, clearly carries the influence of psych-rock artists like Ty Segall and The Oh Sees, bands he admired in his formative years. However, Paquin has expertly recontextualised these early inspirations to reflect his current life, giving the song a contemporary edge.

Of the track, Paquin reflects,

I kept falling into patterns of working with no purpose, going through the motions just to check off boxes. The song is about coming to terms with my own false productivity.

“I Work So Hard” arrives after last month’s release of the album’s title track and lead single, “Hahaha,” a song specifically crafted to ignite a crowd with its immediate guitar energy. Paquin isn’t stopping there; he’s ready to take these high-voltage new songs on the road. He’s also announced a fall tour across the US and Europe, with the full routing detailed below. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 AM local time.
