Sheffield four-piece The Sherlocks just dropped their new single Will You Be There? The Sherlocks have drawn obvious comparisons from their influencers (The Jam, The Clash, Arctic Monkeys) but this is a band with unquenchable ambition intending to create their own unique sound and already captivating new audiences.

Drummer Brandon Cook says of the track:

It’s basically about the notion of when you’re doing well & everybody wants to know you and cling on to you… As opposed to when you’re going through a rough time and most people jump offboard and forget you.

The band were formed in Sheffield when brothers Josh (guitar) and Andy (bass) Davidson moved in next door to brothers Kiaran (vocals/guitar) and Brandon (drums) Crook’s grandparents. Bonding over their shared taste in British giants like the Arctic Monkeys, The Beatles, Libertines, Oasis and The Jam. The Sherlocks have been steadily building a solid live following and were the first unsigned band since Arctic Monkeys to sell out their local venue the Sheffield Leadmill.

Having secured a much coveted support slot on the Libertine’s Arena Tour earlier this year, as well as festival slots at Reading, Leeds and Bestival amongst others, the band are now currently on a headline UK Tour; selling out venues such as London Scala and Manchester Ritz. Tour dates can be found below.
