ARIA Award-winning four-piece Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers are back in full force with “BAIT,” a snarling, swaggering new single from their forthcoming album GLORY — out November 7 via Mom + Pop Music (+ Community Music in AU/NZ). The track arrives alongside a self-directed video by the band’s Neve van Boxsel and follows their announcement as part of the Laneway Festival 2026 lineup, where they’ll perform alongside Chappell Roan, Wolf Alice, and Geese.

The band explain,

‘BAIT’ is big ego, full menace mode, we wrote it in LA, channeling a delusional man who thinks he’s God’s gift to earth. It was fun to cosplay as someone we’d all probably hate in real life.”

That sense of mock bravado seeps through the song’s thick, snarling bassline and clipped guitars, while Anna Ryan’s deadpan, robotic vocals embody the absurd confidence of its subject.

The single is the latest glimpse of GLORY, following “MOTHER,” “UNSCARRED,” and “BALCONY” — each track expanding on the band’s bold, dynamic take on indie-rock. Produced by Catherine Marks (boygenius, Wolf Alice), the album captures a band coming into their own: confident, defiant, and gloriously unfiltered. Mixed by Oli Jacobs (Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift) and mastered by Ruairi O’Flaherty (Lana Del Rey, Bleachers), GLORY is set to cement Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers as one of the most exciting forces in modern rock.
