American alternative star Lana Del Rey seems to be teasing new music, after posting an artwork-like photo to her Instagram Sunday with the title, “Blue Banisters.”
Though she included no specifics, Del Rey did announce, only a day sharing Chemtrails Over The Country Club, that she would be releasing her next album Rock Candy Sweet on June 1. Fans are speculating that Blue Banisters will be a single.
“New song off her upcoming album ‘Rock Candy Sweet’,” Spin or Bin Music tweeted. “Maybe?”
Others on social media pointed out that Del Rey’s Sunday Instagram post had a similar aesthetic to the artwork for White Dress, the final single from Chemtrails Over The Country Club.
When announcing Rock Candy Sweet, Del Rey revealed that the album will “challenge” the thought that her “career was built on cultural appropriation and glamorizing domestic abuse,” according to her Instagram story.
Chemtrails Over The Country Club is the fastest-selling vinyl album in the UK by a female artist this century and topped the Official UK Albums Chart.
