Lindsey Jordan has officially detailed her third studio album as Snail Mail, titled Ricochet, arriving March 27 via Matador Records. Marking her first release in five years, the 11-track project signals a shift from the emotional turbulence of her earlier work toward a mature fixation on time, mortality, and the “quiet terror” of watching things slip away. Jordan returns with a sharpened perspective, asserting her place as a generational songwriter through a record steeped in introspection and the realisation that the world continues to turn regardless of personal upheaval.

The announcement is accompanied by the lead single “Dead End,” a nostalgic track that mourns the simplicity of suburban adolescence. Sonically, Jordan pairs heavy “grunge-gaze” textures with a piercing guitar riff and an explosive, melodic singalong climax.

Lindsay shares:

“We shot the video for ‘Dead End’ in random places all around rural North Carolina between the hours of 5pm and 4am on one of the coldest nights of my life. The goal was to be inconspicuous with the fireworks, but someone called the cops on us.”

To support the release, Snail Mail will embark on an extensive North American tour this April, hitting major venues like The Wiltern and Brooklyn Paramount, before making a highly anticipated UK return at London’s Electric Ballroom on June 25th.
