Shed Seven have announced details for their forthcoming seventh studio album, Shed Seven, scheduled for release on January 8th, 2027, via Cooking Vinyl. The announcement was made earlier today during an acoustic session on Radio X, where the York band also debuted the album’s lead single, “Stand Together.”

The news follows a highly successful period for the band. In 2024, Shed Seven achieved their first-ever UK Number 1 album with A Matter Of Time, followed ten months later by Liquid Gold, which also topped the charts. The feat placed them alongside acts like The Beatles, Elton John, and David Bowie in securing two UK Number 1 albums within a single calendar year. The momentum carried into 2025 with an acclaimed appearance at Glastonbury and a fan-voted Best Live Act win at the Independent Music Awards.

To mark today’s announcement, the group scheduled a surprise acoustic show for tonight at London’s 100 Club, compered by BBC broadcaster Steve Lamacq, which sold out immediately upon release. Ahead of the tenth edition of their winter “Shedcember” tour series, the band has confirmed that the intimate performance will be made available to fans via an official live stream.

Frontman Rick Witter said of the self-titled project:

“We have taken great care in making this album what we believe to be our best yet, and we hope these songs are taken to people’s hearts. The brand new comeback single ‘Stand Together’ shows a statement of intent. It’s a call to arms and a rallying cry for some kind of unity in the world we live in today.”
