Indie-pop artist and self-proclaimed “lesbian overlord” Polly Money releases her new single, ‘Milk & Honey,’ today, February 5th, along with its accompanying music video. The track explores the dizzying highs of new queer romance, balanced with the anxieties of taking those first steps. Money’s signature dreamy vocals, thoughtful lyrics, and vibrant production create a sense of thrilling vulnerability as she navigates love, longing, and self-discovery. ‘Milk & Honey’ further solidifies her position as a prominent queer voice in the indie-pop scene.

Of the track, Polly states,

My hope is for anyone listening to ‘Milk & Honey’ to be immediately transported to the time and place they first fell in love. This song speaks to both the euphoria and heartache of a fledgling romance, and the intensity of the baby-queer experience.

The music video, directed and edited by fellow artist Rosie Carney, provides a stark and intimate glimpse of Money in photographer Cal McIntyre’s studio.

Following an 18-month stint as a live guitarist and vocalist with The 1975, Money returns with renewed confidence. Her recent single, ‘i’m not proud,’ showcased her knack for crafting infectious hooks and compelling narratives, exploring the complexities of guilt and desire. With praise from BBC Radio 1, DORK, NME, CLASH, and placements on numerous Spotify and Apple Music playlists, her recent releases, ‘Anything’ and ‘i’m not proud,’ have firmly established her in the indie alt-pop world.
