Pixies have announced details for a headline worldwide tour in 2026, titled “Pixies 40,” to celebrate the band’s 40th anniversary. The tour will kick off with shows in the UK in May, continuing into Europe through June and July. This major live event will see founding members Black Francis, Joey Santiago, and David Lovering, along with bassist Emma Richardson, perform in major cities, including a stop at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall for the first time.

The tour fittingly begins in the UK, where the band first gained critical acclaim before becoming a global powerhouse in alternative music. Four decades since their inception in Boston in 1986, the band’s unmistakable sound continues to influence new generations of musicians. Over 35 years since their groundbreaking album Doolittle catapulted the band into the UK Top Ten, Pixies are deep into their second creative act.

From their chaotic early club shows to their seismic 2004 reunion, Pixies have consistently redefined live rock music, cementing their legacy as one of alternative music’s most pioneering and essential bands. Now, with five acclaimed albums since 2014, they are living proof of their own enduring influence.
