Southend alt-rockers Nothing But Thieves have treated fans to further music off of their upcoming album Moral Panic. Following on from the hugely successful singles; Real Love Song and Is Everybody Going Crazy? their latest offering Unperson is a beast of a track. Watch and listen below.

Unperson see’s a return to the bands established heavier sound with just a hint of Enter Shikari/Hadouken! flowing through their guitar amps. An insistent, urgent beat pummels against lead singer’s Conor Mason’s screams of “this is not what you think it is….it’s worse”.

The five-piece are certainly making their mark on the airwaves, with previous single Is Everybody Going Crazy achieving 11 million streams worldwide. Their first music since 2018, every teaser single ahead of their forthcoming albums release has had its own unique sound and feel. Amongst a sea of bland guitar bands, this variety see’s their ever-growing, loyal fanbase labelling Nothing But Thieves as “the only good thing about 2020.”

It has to be admitted the band currently have a knack for channelling the post-apocalyptic vibe of 2020 into their music right now. Perhaps their third album Moral Panic which is released on the 23rd October will provide more answers to what is going on with this year, or alternatively soundtrack the collective fall of capitalism. Only 2020 will tell…

Moral Panic will be released on the 23rd October and can be pre-ordered now.
