Model/Actriz Reveal New Single, ‘Doves.’

Model/Actriz has released their latest single, “Doves,” from their upcoming sophomore album titled “Pirouette.” The song prominently features shifting guitar dynamics while frontman Cole Haden openly expresses his feelings about the concept of comfort. He explores how comfort can be both constraining and liberating.

Cole states further,

Doves was the first song on Pirouette to have fully completed lyrics. Initially, its story wasn’t entirely clear to me, but it ultimately became the gateway to the rest of the album’s writing. Within the song, I sing from an empty cathedral, but on a broader level, it explores how a place that once felt like a sanctuary can, over time, become a cage. Ultimately, the challenge then lies in finding the courage to step beyond it. The song is about trusting that the effort to break free is worth it.

With their rock-focused foundations, club-pop tendencies, and deployment of electronic effects, Model/Actriz’s sophomore release is shaping up to be a dancefloor filler and certainly one to watch out for come its release on 2nd May 2025 via True Panther/Dirty Hit.

The band’s only UK dates so far this year are across both the London and Manchester dates of Outbreak Festival, taking place on the 13th June and 14th-15th June, respectively.
