Emerging Liverpool trio DBA! today released their new single, the brooding ‘D.P.D.,’ in anticipation of their debut EP ‘skip! worried,’ set to drop on April 29th.
Leading figures in Liverpool’s burgeoning music scene over the past year, DBA! have quickly garnered attention for their distinctive chemistry and notable influences from artists such as Eels, Beck, and Elastica. Following the release of two previous tracks, ‘sinkorswim’ and ‘Whisky,’ from their upcoming EP, the band has already gained significant traction on BBC 6 Music, receiving widespread support from key tastemakers including Huw Stephens, Craig Charles, Abbie McCarthy, and Emily Pilbeam.
Of the track, frontman Sam Warren states,
’D.P.D.’ is a track I wrote whilst losing touch with reality…it’s a deep cut from the world slipping through my fingers, a song I’m not sure I understand but can’t help myself loving. I hope people enjoy Josh’s slide guitar on this one as much as I do
‘D.P.D.’ perfectly combines DBA!’s vivid, introspective lyricism with their anthemic inclinations. The promising newcomers have already received early acclaim from prominent press outlets including Dork Magazine, So Young, and Rough Trade. To coincide with the release of their debut EP, the three-piece are also set to embark on an imminent live circuit.
