Following the release of their single, Switching On, Hull’s LIFE release a new remix of the track by the Mercury Prize nominated IDLES. The track was remixed by IDLES’ guitarist, and long term friend of LIFE, Mark Bowden. Listen below.

Speaking about the remix, he states:

I have watched LIFE play live well over 100 times and one thing that I really wanted to maintain through the remix is how incredibly tight they are as a band, so I left everything from the original in there.

Bowden wanted to ‘push the ideas of experimental electronics and noise further’.

Earlier this year, LIFE released the music video for Switching On, alongside a  75-page, full colour, ‘pay what you want’ zine which brings together poems, lyrics, art, collages, photos and musings from all over the world.

2019 was a HUGE year for the band, seeing them release their second album A Picture Of Good Health which earned them radio play from the likes of BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 6 Music.
