Before Sunrise is the lead single from Gengahr’s forthcoming second album Where Wildness Grows which will be released via Transgressive Recordings on March 9th. The new track follows on from previous singles Carrion and Mallory and sees the band at their most anthemic with cinematic soundscapes. Listen below.
Frontman Felix Bushe comments on Before Sunrise:
Before Sunrise is a song that celebrates the relief and simplicity one can find lost in the night. A clarity and single mindedness that doesn’t exist in day to day life. A beautiful weightlessness that gradually dissolves as the sun comes up.
Where Wildness Grows was recorded in London during summer of 2017 with acclaimed producer Neil Comber (Glass Animals, M.I.A, Songhoy Blues) in a process which saw Gengahr reject multiple recordings and eventually return to the drawing board, re-group and head back to the studio with a new sense of clarity.
Having recently completed a tour with Jungle as well as an intimate headline show at Omeara, Gengahr will embark on headline tour throughout the UK and Europe starting in April. All dates and tickets can be found below.
