English Teacher, girli, and Katy J Pearson are set to perform a series of intimate live shows in support of War Child, the specialist charity that works to protect children living in war zones. These gigs will raise money for the “Day of the Girl” campaign, which provides vital aid to women and girls in conflict areas.

Fearless alt-pop artist girli will take the stage on Thursday, October 9th, at London’s Oslo, stating,

“Girls are the group most affected by war worldwide so I’m really excited to be raising money with War Child for Day of the Girl.”

Closing out the series on Sunday, October 12th, at The 100 Club in London, Katy J Pearson added,

“This gig will be raising money to provide vital support to women in war zones. Thank you to War Child for having me!”

The lineup for these special performances also includes English Teacher, who will play on Friday, October 10th, at Liverpool’s Hangar 34. The Mercury Prize-winning band is celebrated for their intelligent, genre-bending approach to modern guitar music. Katy J Pearson, a distinctive indie-pop musician, fuses folk, pop, and country to create heartfelt soundscapes, while girli is known for her bold, DIY-inspired pop production and unapologetic lyrics.

The concerts are part of a critical effort to address the escalating gender inequality in conflict zones. Right now, 612 million women and girls are living in these areas, an increase of 50% in the last decade. Women and girls face alarming rates of sexual violence and are more likely to be out of school. Without access to basic health supplies, they face serious health risks and a loss of dignity. Since 2021, the Day of the Girl campaign has raised over £250K for War Child, with a number of top artists lending their support.

By taking part, fans and supporters will contribute directly to War Child’s essential work. The funds provide specialist mental health support, create safe spaces for education, and promote the rights of women and girls in communities affected by conflict. The charity also ensures access to health care and legal support, providing job training and financial aid to some of the world’s most vulnerable people.

Pre-sales begin on Wednesday at 2pm with general sale on Friday.
