Dog door, share their debut single, Cover Up Contest, opening the entrance to the intense creative minds of Oliver Girdler (Forced Fandom / O. Girdler), and Jamie Cameron (The Last Dinosaur) who have been brought together through a shared love of lo-fi and kaleidoscopic pop.

Speaking of the track, Cameron states:

Oliver and I channel our slacker heroes to make a lo-fi nostalgia journey to the heart of the sun with verses sounding like forgotten summers, a Velvets psych wig-out middle section and a sunshine Beach Boys-esque chorus crescendo. Come in and wipe your paws off, if you don’t like it you can turn around and go back out the way you came.

Pairing melody with the brittle pop of the likes of Grandaddy and Sparklehorse, and the ambition of Talk Talk, Cover Up Contest is the first of a series of recordings from the band that are set to land in the coming months.
