Chicago-based four-piece Deeper have shared their latest single, Tele, the third to be taken from their upcoming, debut, album, Careful!, which is set for release September 8th via Sub Pop.

Featuring snapping rhythm and grey-sky-inspired synths, the track follows from previously released singles, Sub, and Build a Bridge. Speaking of the Tele, the band state,

‘Tele’ is a song without its shield. In past Deeper compositions, we would hide behind jerky guitars and abstract vocals telling a story only we could decipher. With ‘Tele’ we wanted to explore the vulnerability behind our music and give focus to the melody and mood of the song. Replacing guitars with synthesisers and drums with samplers we stumbled upon a new way to approach a Deeper song.

Fresh off a fifteen-date slot opening for Future Islands, Deeper’s next performance is a hometown show at this year’s Pitchfork Festival – taking place Friday, 21st July. The band have also announced headline, and festival dates, in support of Careful!, with North American shows taking place from September 21st – October 22nd, and European and UK shows then taking place from October 31st – November 4th. Tickets available here.*
