CMAT makes her highly anticipated return today with the new single, “The Jamie Oliver Petrol Station.” Described as a “transcendental indie-krauty-campy-stomp,” the track playfully appears to be a diss aimed at Jamie Oliver, but, as CMAT reveals, it’s actually a deeper reflection on the futility of hatred.

“The Jamie Oliver Petrol Station” is the third single from her upcoming album, ‘EURO-COUNTRY,’ which is slated for release on August 29th. It follows the success of her recent track, “Take A Sexy Picture Of Me,” which has gained viral traction thanks to a fan-created dance dubbed ‘The Woke Macarena.’ This dance has taken social media by storm, with personalities like Julia Fox and Amelia Dimoldenberg showcasing their moves, leading to thousands of fans performing the choreography at recent CMAT shows, including Primavera, Wide Awake, and Neighbourhood Festival.

Of the new single, CMAT states,

“The whole point of the song is actually my annoyance and intolerance and hatred of other people serves absolutely no purpose in my life and is a really bad instinct that I have. So it’s actually a love song for Jamie Oliver, if you think about it. It’s me being like ‘don’t be a bitch and stop judging people for annoyances’

Next week, CMAT is set to hit a major milestone with a performance on the iconic Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival on Friday, June 27th, at 1:30 PM. Additionally, CMAT has announced a series of in-store performances.
