Blood Wizard has announced the upcoming release of a new EP titled Lucky Life, set to arrive on April 16 via Sad Club Records. Accompanying the news is the release of the lead single “Daydreaming,” a sumptuous and introspective track that explores the emotional disconnect of feeling stuck between two places. To support the release, the band will embark on a UK headline tour throughout April, which includes a highly anticipated stop at London’s Moth Club.
On the new single “Daydreaming,” Blood Wizard say:
“Daydreaming is the first single from our new EP Lucky Life, coming out on Sad Club Records on April 16th. This song is about feeling checked-out and missing home. I found myself stuck between two places when I was writing it and didn’t feel properly attached to either. I didn’t want to dress it up, so I just tried to say it plainly and let the song speak for itself.”
This new body of work represents a significant evolution for the project, shifting from songwriter Cai Burns’ solo beginnings toward a more experimental, collaborative effort. Recorded in South London, the EP was crafted through informal home sessions rather than traditional rehearsals, allowing the group to play with vocal shifts and unique sampling. The result is a collection that the band describes as a definitive turning point, offering a different sonic tone than their previous releases.
