With the release of their new album So That You Might Hear Me only a little over a week away, London duo Bear’s Den today reveal a new track from the record titled Crow. The new song comes with a wonderful video featuring fans from different parts of the world. Watch and listen below below.
One of their most personal songs to date, Crow deals with singer Andrew Davie’s family:
The song ‘Crow’ was written in memory of my Mum’s boyfriend who lived with us growing up. He was an awesome guy and somewhere between a father figure and a best friend to me growing up but unfortunately he passed away when I was 15. I wrote this song as I wanted to acknowledge how important and thankful I am to him for helping to raise me and my sister.
The accompanying video was shot in Nashville, London, Brussels and Sao Paulo elaborates on the meaning of family. The clip features fans from each city with their loved ones listening to Crow for the first time.
Davie further comments on the video:
We thought that a music video that celebrated the idea of family would be the most appropriate thing we could do.
The band have also launched a podcast written and hosted by Sugar High’s Danny Carissimi where they discuss each and every track on So That You Might Hear Me in detail.
Having just finished the European and Ireland leg of their tour, Bear’s Den will play two sold out headline shows at Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London next week. Tickets for the show at the O2 Guildhall in Southampton are still available. All upcoming tour dates and ticket links can be found here.
So That You Might Hear Me will be released on 26th April on digital and physical formats.
