Brighton’s most explosive duo, Lambrini Girls, have returned with their visceral new single, “Cult of Celebrity,” a relentless, thrashing indictment of global power structures. Following a meteoric rise that has seen Phoebe Lunny (vocals/guitar) and Selin Macieira (bass) become the premier voices of modern UK punk, the track serves as a sonic middle finger to the “dark underbelly” of high society. Accompanied by a striking music video directed by Harv Frost (The Last Dinner Party, Laufey), the single captures the duo at their most uncompromising, blending high-octane distortion with a biting, satirical edge.

Of the release, the band states,

“The age old tale, of selling your soul to the devil has been fabled accounts of high society for years. However due to recent events come to light- it turns out that the elite are very much actually, the devil incarnate, baby eating, pedos. What a fucking surprise! They had no souls to sell in the first place.”

The track arrives as a scathing commentary on the recent exposures of elite misconduct, framed by the band through a lens of both horror and “I told you so” cynicism. Channelling the spirit of Antonio Gramsci’s famous “time of monsters” quote, the duo positions themselves as the musical vanguard for a world struggling to be reborn. With their signature raw energy and a refusal to pull punches, Lambrini Girls continue to prove that they are using punk music as a weapon against the status quo.
