Working alongside Antony Genn and Martin Slattery, Chatten has delivered a sound that leans significantly darker than his work with Fontaines D.C., perfectly matching the gritty, shadows-and-smoke atmosphere of the Shelby legacy.
During a joint appearance on BBC Radio 1 with the film’s star, Cillian Murphy, the duo discussed their mutual admiration. Murphy, who has been a fan since catching the band at Dublin’s Vicar Street in 2019, joked that he is essentially a “groupie” for the band.
