Teen Suicide are finally stepping out of the bedroom and into the studio. The indie-rock mainstays have announced their new album, Nude descending staircase headless, arriving April 17th via Run For Cover Records. While the band has spent over a decade influencing the underground with their raw, home-recorded aesthetic, this project marks their first “proper” studio recording, helmed by producer Mike Sapone (Taking Back Sunday, Oso Oso). The result is a high-fidelity leap that manages to keep the band’s signature rough edges intact while giving their sound a massive, cinematic upgrade.

To give fans a taste of this new chapter, the band shared the lead single “Idiot,” a track that kicks off with a heavy, fuzzed-out riff before melting into the delicate harmonies of creative duo Sam and Kitty Ray. This newfound stability follows a difficult few years for the Rays, who have been open about their recovery from serious health struggles. Now, with a solid touring lineup and a fresh perspective, they’ve also announced a major North American tour alongside Liquid Mike, University, and Pure Hex.
