Jake Bugg is set to release a special deluxe repack of his acclaimed seventh studio album, A Modern Day Distraction, arriving on October 24th via Lovebugg. This announcement is accompanied by the release of a brand new single, “Never Said Goodbye.”
“Never Said Goodbye,” the first new track from the deluxe edition, showcases Bugg at his most heartfelt. This poignant, soul-baring, guitar-driven anthem is delicately adorned with strings, serving as a melodic counterpoint to the melancholy that originally inspired the album.
Of the single, Jake describes,
‘Never Said Goodbye’ is about losing someone close unexpectedly, which affects a lot of us. It’s happened to me, so it’s a song that means a lot personally.
The A Modern Day Distraction Deluxe Edition will feature four new tracks in total, including “Never Said Goodbye (Single Version),” “Oblivious,” “Too Late Now,” and “Feels Like The Sunshine.” It will be available on deluxe CD with a 16-page booklet, white vinyl, and digitally.
