Rising from Wales, the eclectic new collective teethin has announced their debut EP, Greed Between The Lines, set for release on October 3rd via Silent Kid Records. The band has also shared the EP’s first single, “THROWIN SHAPES.” Their sound is a powerful blend of punk’s raw energy with the pulsating rhythms of electronic, dance, and rock, a genre-smashing mix that is both chaotic and cathartic.

A track that looks at the common ignorance we come across in our day-to-day, teethin say of ‘THROWIN SHAPES’,

We were sat in the pub one time and heard a group of middle-aged white men talking about how Katie Hopkins and Trump say it how it is. We started chatting about how these people are idolised and then others are almost manipulated to put the blame on what they don’t fully understand – be it down to ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or religion. Sometimes it feels like we’re just ants crawling over each other, arguing amongst ourselves while being laughed at and spat on by the upper classes. We wrote this after that, with the image of someone throwing shapes, like dancing in ignorance while the world burns around them, kinda lodged in our heads. It’s a weird feeling and extremely frustrating.

Formed in late 2024 and led by Greek-Welsh artist James Minas, teethin is a dynamic group with members hailing from the Welsh Valleys to Ukraine and the Philippines. The collective’s debut tracks are charged with purpose, tackling pressing issues like classism, cultural apathy, and political blame through visceral vocals and pounding production. The band is an artistic movement, built on a fierce and multifaceted foundation.
