Cardiff garage-rock quartet The Family Battenberg have unveiled “Fuzzy Features,” the final preview of their debut studio album, Super Deluxe, arriving 20th November via Stolen Body Records.

A reworked studio version of one of the band’s earliest tracks and long-standing live staples, “Fuzzy Features” pairs stomping glam-rock rhythms with soaring guitar solos. Recorded live over seven days with producer Tom Rees (Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, The Bug Club), the track highlights vocalist and guitarist Eliot Jones’ fascination with American folklore, specifically the West Virginia legend of the Mothman.

Elaborating on the supernatural inspiration and the song’s evolution, Jones explained:

I’m obsessed with the cryptids of America, and ‘Fuzzy Features’ is about the Mothman of West Virginia. We wanted to make a happy clappy T-Rex song, and it just proved itself live. We played it since the start of the band, it’s one of the first songs we’d ever recorded. It would be jarring if it wasn’t on the album now. The new version finally does justice for what the song is to us.

Super Deluxe arrives following extensive airplay across BBC Radio 6 Music and Radio X, alongside tour support slots with Gruff Rhys, Panic Shack, and Getdown Services. The Family Battenberg will support the record with a headline UK tour this December.
