Suede have announced their tenth studio album, ‘Antidepressants,’ set to drop on September 5th, 2025, via BMG and available for pre-order. The Platinum-selling, Mercury Prize-winning indie legends return with the raw energy that fuels their renowned live performances, a power amplified since their acclaimed 2022 album ‘Autofiction,’ their highest-charting record in over two decades. Having played to massive crowds across 14 countries, Suede’s live presence was hailed as “the most visceral…on the planet” by the London Evening Standard. This same vitality ignites the sound of ‘Antidepressants.’

The album’s urgent opening statement arrives today with the brand new single, ‘Disintegrate.’ Premiered live on Steve Lamacq’s BBC 6Music show, the track is accompanied by a stark black and white music video directed by Chris Turner (Favourite Colour: Black Productions). The video captures the raw essence of Suede’s live performance, intentionally glitching and distorting, mirroring the song’s intense energy.

Of the band’s tenth album, Brett Anderson states,

If Autofiction was our punk record, Antidepressants is our post-punk record. It’s about the tensions of modern life, the paranoia, the anxiety, the neurosis. We are all striving for connection in a disconnected world. This was the feel I wanted the songs to have. The album is called Antidepressants. This is broken music for broken people.

To celebrate ‘Antidepressants,’ Suede will take over London’s Southbank Centre in September 2025 for a special four-night concert series, ‘Suede Takeover,’ their first return to the venue since 2002. These unique performances promise a departure from traditional rock gigs, featuring old and new songs, covers, and surprises across different venues, culminating in their first full orchestral show.

Ticket pre-sales for ‘Suede Takeover’ begin May 21st for Southbank Centre members and May 22nd for album pre-orders, with general sale on May 23rd. This event marks a full-circle moment for Suede, showcasing their enduring creativity and powerful connection with their audience.
