Snooper has released a new single and video for “Guard Dog,” the latest track from their upcoming album, Worldwide, which is set for release on October 3rd via Third Man Records. The song reflects on the feeling of being trapped by other people’s perceptions. It follows the lead single “Worldwide” and finds the band, founded by Blair Tramel and Connor Cummins, continuing to evolve their punk sound into something bolder, catchier, and more confident.
Of the track, Tramel states,
‘Guard Dog‘ is about growth. It’s about the discomfort of feeling too comfortable and recognising when to make a change. It’s about second guessing yourself, overthinking, trust and distrust, and keeping it moving. It’s about losing and gaining perspective, having a voice, and learning how to use it. Mostly though, it’s about having fun – which is the most important thing.
Over the past few years, Snooper has risen from a staple of the DIY scene to a widely adored act in the international underground. The band will take their raucous live show on the road to support The Hives on a North American tour. Following the tour, they will return to Nashville to celebrate the album’s release with a special show on October 3rd.
