Having already found massive support for his previously shared singles Alligator, Swamp Monster, I’m Sorry, Tell Me What I Said and Headphones On over the last year, Copenhagen-based singer and songwriter Kip Macklejar now returns with his latest belter The Coal Miner’s Daughter. Listen below.

Channelling a strong blues-rock aesthetic that brings out his inner Jack White, The Coal Miner’s Daughter marks the latest entry on his forthcoming debut EP. Filled with rip-roaring riffs, enormous production, and an incredibly catchy chorus, this artist is quickly becoming the talk of the town right now.

Speaking about the new single, he said,

I “accidentally” wrote this while trying to finish my other track (Alligator Swamp Monster), I started playing this riff, and then and it just instantly turned into this whole other thing, and I had the whole idea for the song in one short moment, then I kept building on it, I thought it would be cool to have an animated music video, and then thought it would be even better if i carry the story on in future songs, so that’s what i did…
