Portland rock band Guitar, the creative project of Saia Kuli, is set to release a new album, We’re Headed To The Lake, on October 10, 2025. The album will be available everywhere via the revered label, Julia’s War Recordings. To kick things off, the band has shared the lead single, “Pizza for Everyone,” a vibrant preview of the album filled with “head-bobbing riffs” and urgent lyricism that conjure nostalgic vignettes of unplanned summer days.

Of the song, Kuli explains,

This song is both an epic non-sequitur rally cry and also about being broke and bored sitting on a couch

The announcement follows last year’s release of Casting Spells On Turtlehead, Guitar’s first collaboration with Julia’s War Recordings. That album, which featured tracks like “One Unit of Chaos,” earned praise from publications like Post-Trash, Stereogum, and The FADER, with the latter calling Kuli’s songwriting “unique [and] scrappy.”

On the live front, Guitar has maintained a packed tour schedule, with appearances at Philadelphia’s U3 Fest and opening for artists such as Wishy, Horse Jumper of Love, and Cloud Nothings. The band will support Horsegirl in a hometown show on August 19th, and this fall, they will join their label-head, They Are Gutting A Body Of Water, on tour across the Midwest and Pacific Northwest.
