Dial have released their new album Watch, available now digitally and on CD via Bandcamp, with physical distribution through Forte and Fusetron.
Formed by former Ut member Jacqui Ham and Rob Smith in 1991, Dial have spent more than three decades exploring the darker edges of experimental and noise rock. Their sound draws on the fractured spirit of New York’s original No Wave scene, combining abrasive guitars, improvisation and unconventional song structures.
Ham’s previous band Ut were a key part of the late-70s New York No Wave scene before relocating to London in the early 1980s, where they became closely associated with acts including The Fall and The Birthday Party.
Watch is Dial’s latest release and follows 2020’s Trace, continuing the band’s long-running interest in pushing rock music towards its more dissonant and unpredictable edges.
