Indigo De Souza has released her new single, “Be Like The Water,” from her forthcoming album, Precipice. The track is described as a cathartic self-dialogue, featuring rich percussion and dazzling production.
Of the track, De Souza states,
Be like the water is about being brave and protecting your energy. It’s about listening to your inner self and respecting your gut instinct. My favourite lyric in the song is ‘you can leave if you want to, and you don’t have to say why.’ Whether it’s leaving the room, leaving the conversation, or leaving a toxic relationship, you have the power to make a change and life is too precious to waste your spirit.
Indigo De Souza is set to begin a series of US headline dates this Friday, including three nights supporting Lord Huron. Major North American touring in support of her album Precipice is planned for the fall, alongside festival appearances at Bumbershoot and Pitchfork Paris and London. Tickets are available now.
De Souza is partnering with PLUS1 and The Trevor Project for her upcoming tour. A dollar from each ticket sold will directly support The Trevor Project’s mission to end suicide among LGBTQ+ youth, providing vital resources like 24/7 crisis intervention services, peer support, and advocacy for inclusive policies.
