Ebbb Unveil New Single ‘Manners’

London-based trio Ebbb today unveil “Manners,” their first new material since last year’s critically acclaimed debut EP, All At Once. This single marks the beginning of a series of releases from the band over the coming months, all arriving via the esteemed Ninja Tune label.

“Manners,” released today, showcases the three-piece at the height of their creative force. The track masterfully fuses propulsive beats with towering walls of synth, as vocalist Will Rowland expertly dissects the idealised notions of love against its more mundane realities.

The band say of the track,

‘Manners’ represents the duality and the pendulum swing of a romantic relationship: the craving and longing when you’re apart from one another, and then the not-so-perfect reality when united. It’s the way we idealise things when on our own (“I kinda wish that you were here..”) vs. the inability to control negative or toxic impulses when together (“watch your sharp tongue..”).

All At Once marked Ebbb’s initial output for Ninja Tune, a label renowned for groundbreaking artists such as Young Fathers, Black Country, New Road, and yeule – a fitting home for Ebbb’s genre-defying sound. Since the EP’s release last summer, the band’s ascent has been undeniable, with notable live performances supporting acts like Scaler, PVA, and The Smile, the latter of whom personally invited Ebbb to open for them in Switzerland. Their rising profile was further cemented by appearances at Pitchfork Paris and a coveted inclusion in NME’s 100 Essential Emerging Artists for 2025.
