Ain’t are a band with a lively word-of-mouth reputation. For a while now, they have been plugging away, playing shows and showcasing their dynamic blend of shoegaze and ‘90s post-punk, teetering on the fine line between nostalgia and originality.

Their latest single, “Pirouette,” is something of a favourite from their live sets. With its texture-rich sound and angelic vocal harmonies, the track really helps to showcase the best of the band’s abilities.

Speaking on the track’s themes, vocalist and guitarist George Ellerby expands,

Pirouette details the drudgery of break ups and the lethargy that can come with dating, but I feel it’s preoccupied with a sense of something overwhelmingly hopeful and exhilarating falling into place.

The track has had plenty of love on their current tour in support of THUS LOVE, but to accompany its release, the band have also announced their first ever headline show, which takes place on the 12th of June at the Waiting Room in Stoke Newington, London.
