Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have officially confirmed a massive homecoming gig at Brighton’s Preston Park on 31 July 2026. The show will be the band’s only UK headline performance for the year, confirming long-running rumours. The news comes after Cave had hinted at the event in his fan newsletter, the Red Hand Files, followed by a video teaser that prominently featured the city’s iconic landmarks.

The video, which appeared on the band’s channels, showcased lyrics to their tune ‘Water’s Edge’ on Brighton’s shoreline, with Cave’s face projected onto the West Pier. In a statement about the upcoming event, Cave expressed his excitement, calling it “a homecoming!” and promising a show that will be “big, bad and beautiful. An epic show!!!”

Tickets for the highly anticipated gig are set to go on fan pre-sale next Thursday, 25 September, with general sale opening the following day, 26 September. Fans can register for pre-sale access via the band’s official website.
