London-born artist, producer, and songwriter Sarah Meth has today (August 13) released her shimmering new single, “Bromance Is Dead,” via Slow Dance Recordings. The track finds Meth in her dream-pop element, built on a foundation of glistening, Beach House-esque synthesisers. It’s a dreamy yet heart-on-sleeve offering, defined by a wry sense of humour and an honest portrayal of modern romance.

The single serves as a testament to Meth’s versatile artistry, which seamlessly blends influences from indie, folk, and jazz into her pop-oriented sound. Through her candid vocal delivery and intimate production, she has built a reputation for crafting relatable, playful vignettes of contemporary life, and “Bromance Is Dead” is a fresh addition to that unique repertoire.

Speaking of the track, Sarah states,

Bromance is dead is an ode to the end of a transatlantic situation – the moment where the (American) dream dies, and you wake up to the harsh reality that maybe a person cannot always be the friend you thought them to be.

Sarah Meth continues to build a formidable reputation as a live performer, having recently been named a finalist for Green Man Rising 2025 and slated to perform at the festival this coming weekend. Her impressive resume includes slots at prominent festivals like End of The Road, All Points East, and Latitude, as well as shows with acclaimed artists such as Olivia Dean, Lee Ranaldo (of Sonic Youth), Sorry, and Horsegirl. She also completed a UK and Dublin tour with King Krule, which included two nights at the renowned Hammersmith Apollo.
