Manchester’s genre-bending four-piece, Witch Fever, today drops their new single and accompanying video, “FEVEREATEN.” This ferocious track also serves as the title song for their highly anticipated second album, slated for release on October 31, 2025, through Music For Nations / Sony.
Of the track, vocalist Amy Walpole explains,
I wrote ‘FEVEREATEN’ when I realised I couldn’t stop myself writing about the church. It’s about feeling drained by that fixation and being consumed by intrusive thoughts. I’m angry that I struggle more than others and feel like a burden – but I’m also determined to hold onto that anger and use it productively
“FEVEREATEN” follows the earlier releases of “THE GARDEN”—a distorted alt-rock anthem confronting patriarchal control—and the raw, experimental punk blend of “DEAD TO ME!” The new single pushes Witch Fever’s sound into even darker realms, oscillating powerfully between punishing metal riffs and haunting gothic interludes.
