Frank Hamilton release video for Lovedrug

frank hamiltonI met Frank hamilton many years ago at an in-store showcase in Carnaby. His music instantly captivated me as I sat on the floor of some hip shop whose name I forgot. Back then, Frank had just released the You, Your Cat & Me EP which would become a regular in my playlist. It’s thanks to artists like Frank that I started this blog in the first place.

To cut a long story short, Frank has a new single out and his second album is also on the horizon. The record is titled Songs To Make Life Slightly Less Awkward which sounds like something we all need. The album drops on June 17th and is available to pre-order for only 6,99 on iTunes.

The new single is titled Lovedrug and comes with a colourful video. I guess a lot you can relate to being addicted to love, I for one can. Lovedrug is poppier than Frank’s earlier singer-songwriter work and it sounds excellent! It’s not surprising really as the album was mixed by James Earp (Nina Nesbitt) and mastered by Robin Schmidt (The 1975, Two-Door Cinema Club).

Songs To Make Life Slightly Less Awkward  is the follow up to his Number 1 iTunes album One Song a Week (featuring Ed Sheeran, Newton Faulkner, Jose from Oh Wonder and Lauren Aquilina) that was released in 2013.
