Video: Bel Esprit – Lose My Mind

Bel-Espirit-Header-1024x682Bel Esprit a 4-piece from Southampton whose name is derived from a monetary fund set up for T.S. Eliot to get him out of his day job and write poetry full time. It is now also a band which shares the same ambition.

Lose My Mind is their latest single and also the title track to their debut EP which will be released on October 2nd.

Lose My Mind is a guitar driven upbeat rock tune. The band name The Velvet Underground as one of their influences and there is no denying that. They also seem to be fans of As Elephants Are judging from their wardrobe (the guy on the far right is wearing their logo T-Shirt).

Bel Esprit  have already played support for the likes of Childhood, Ezra Furman and To Kill A King all over the country and being asked to perform at Bestival’s first Common People festival in their hometown of Southampton. A run of headline dates has been confirmed for this fall. Full dates can be found below.
