London’s TV Priest have just announced their debut album, Uppers, out November 13th via Hand in Hive. The album has been self recorded and produced by the bands own, Nic Smith, with all of the imagery for the album done by lead singer and artist, Charlie Drinkwater, who also worked on the recent album cover for Fontaines D.C.’s A Hero’s Death.

The debut track from Uppers was also released today, This Island is intense and melodic, whilst being a hostile attack on the state of Britain in 2020. Listen below.

TV Priest burst onto the scene earlier this year, with their debut single House Of York, which immediately picked up international press attention and gained support from Steve Lamacq at BBC Radio 6 Music. Shortly after, the band released their second single, Runner Up, which flew straight onto the Radio 6 playlist. The amount of confidence that TV Priest have in their new material is seen through the fact that these singles haven’t made the album.

Uppers is released on November 13th, the album will be available physically on both CD and vinyl, including a limited edition run of 300 copies exclusively through RecordStore.
